Abstract: This research analyzes the effects of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Sustainable Environmental Practices on Business Sustainability at Kuriftu paper mill. Utilizing both descriptive and explanatory research approaches, the study gathered data from a target population of employees, managers, and the surrounding community, achieving a sample size of 538 through a census method. Data collection consisted of survey questionnaires and interviews, allowing for a comprehensive investigation of the relationships between CSR activities, sustainable environmental practices, and business sustainability. The findings reveal that economic, legal, philanthropic, and ethical responsibilities are significantly linked to business sustainability, with sustainable environmental practices identified as a crucial variable. Regression analysis indicates that, without the intermediate variable, 68.4% of the variance in business sustainability is explained by the independent variables (R² = 0.684). When the intermediate variable is introduced, this percentage increases to 74.1% (R2 = 0.741). The study emphasizes that firms should enhance their focus on sustainable environmental practices to improve the effectiveness of their sustainability initiatives, highlighting the importance of integrating these practices into their CSR strategies for better outcomes.
